Everything you need to get Mirage working and make the most of it.
Mirage is an Android app that lets you set a fake GPS location on your device. Any app that requests your location — maps, social media, dating apps, delivery apps — will see the location you choose in Mirage, not your real one.
Mirage works on any Android device running Android 8.0 or later. For the best experience with maximum privacy, we recommend the Pro version on a GrapheneOS Pixel phone.
When you open Mirage for the first time, a setup wizard will guide you through:
If you have a Pro version phone, this is already done for you.
On the home screen, tap Change location and search for any city, address, or landmark. Select it from the results and tap Start Spoofing. Your device will now report that location to all apps.
Yes — once you tap Start, your location updates within a second or two. Some apps may cache the old location briefly. If an app still shows your real location, close and reopen it.
Yes. Mirage runs as a background service so your location stays spoofed even when the app isn't open. You'll see a notification in your status bar while it's active.
Yes — tap the Route tab, set a start and end point, choose your speed (walk, jog, cycle or drive) and tap Start. Your location will move along the route in real time.
Android requires you to enable Developer Options and set a "Mock Location app" before any app can override your GPS. This is a one-time setup — you only need to do it once.
On Samsung: Settings → About phone → Software information → Build number.
Mirage Pro comes pre-installed on a privacy-hardened GrapheneOS Pixel phone set up by us. Developer Options and Mock Location are already configured before the phone reaches you. No setup, no fiddling — it works from the moment you turn it on.
GrapheneOS is a privacy and security focused Android operating system. It removes Google's tracking, hardens the OS against exploits, and gives you full control over what each app can access.
Yes — your Pro phone is fully functional. You can install any app you like. Mirage Pro runs alongside everything else without interference.
If you factory reset the phone, Mirage Pro will be removed. Use our web reinstaller to get it back — plug your phone in via USB and follow the steps.
Panic Wipe instantly clears all Mirage app data — your saved locations, settings, and history — with a single tap. It cannot be undone.
Tap Panic Wipe in the bottom bar, then confirm. The app clears immediately and returns to first-run state.
No. Panic Wipe only clears data within the Mirage app itself. Nothing else on your phone is affected.
Some phones aggressively kill background apps to save battery. Go to battery settings and add Mirage to the unrestricted or "don't optimise" list.

Use the web reinstaller. You'll need a USB cable and a Windows or Mac computer. It takes about two minutes.
